Don and collaborators describe a new snake species in Brazil

We used morphological and genetic data to describe a new species of parrot snake (Genus Leptophis) from the Cerrado region of Brazil. The new species is named Leptophis mystacinus for the long black line extending from its snout down each side of the head and onto the neck just like a long mustache.
